Call for Papers and Panel Session Proposals

The Twenty-Second Annual International Computer Software and Applications Conference

COMPSAC is the major international forum for researchers, practitioners, managers, and policy makers interested in computer software and applications. Experts and leaders from academia, software and computer industries, and governments will participate in the program. The conference welcomes original research or practice papers and panel discussion session proposals on relevant topics. The emphases of the conference will include, but not limited to, the following topics:

In line with its concern for the application of research results and leading edge technology in industrial practice, COMPSAC '98 will feature a special track devoted to experience, practitioning software engineers are ready to share with their peers or problems they want to make academia aware of. Prospective authors / presenters are invited to send to the appropriate program chair: The program committe will decide on the acceptance of these submissions based on the clear and convincing argument for the success (or failure, as the case may be) of the application of new technology in an industrial context.

The extended abstract of accepted submissions (possibly revised based on suggestions form the programm committee) will be incorporated in the proceedings. Distributing copies of viewgraphs used during the oral presentation is at the presenters discretion.

IMPORTANT DEADLINES

February 2, 1998: All papers and panel proposals due
February 5, 1998: Panel organizers notified of acceptance
March 5, 1998: Organizers of accepted panel proposals provide
final information on session chairs and panelists
March 23, 1998: Authors notified of acceptance
May 22, 1998: Camera-ready copies of accepted papers
and panelist position papers to be included in
the conference processing due
