Mere mechanical or electronic tokens provide no information or knowledge nor do they have any value until they play a social role. Thus the subject matter of computer science is incomplete outside a social context. The natural sciences can distance themselves from social issues but computer science can not do so without serious loss.
The objectivest view of the world whick enables the natural sciences to do this is misleading when we deal with information. Classical logics, inspired by mathematics and natural sciences are used in comuter science and force one to think in misleading way. An alternative, radical social- subjectivest view brings some very effective practical tools for system development and opens up the prospect of new kinds of logic.
This philosophial position will be explained within a semiotic framework and some indications will be given of how the protologic Norma, might be developed by professional formalists.
